"Connection is an energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship"....Brene Brown

We all connect in many different ways, whether it's through family, friends, nature, our well-being, spirituality or love and by sharing a part of who you are with others.  As much as it's important to have time on our own, our connections play a huge role in how we feel on a day to day basis.

We grow when we share our experiences with others, we learn how to deal with life's ups and downs and helps us realise that we all have issues in our life.  However our attitude will reflect the outcome as two people can have the exact same problem, but with different mindset's which will reflect whether it's a pleasant or unpleasant experience.  You might think some people seem to have lots of luck, but what we think we create, so be careful what you wish for!

How good does it feel to receive a smile from someone you don't even know as you're walking down the street, or when someone lets you into a car park, it's all these little actions of kindness and connection that create good karma.

Children are amazing to watch, they befriend anyone and are so happy to play along with a new person or object without analysing or judging it in any way.  They just accept the situation as it is and go with the flow, and by living in the moment - find happiness and joy in their interactions because they are being true to themselves.

Why do we compare ourselves to others, or feel that we have to live up to unrealistic expectations and keep up with the latest fads even if it goes against our values, beliefs or who we are?  It takes practise and courage to stand up for what you believe in and to realise that you are awesome just the way you are.  Not everyone is going to like what you do or say, but when you are living by what you believe in then you will always feel happier.

What could you do to improve your relationships?   Who was the last person you connected with that made a difference to the way you felt that day?   Does your body language and image reflect the messages you want to send out to others?

Be aware of your connections because we give off and receive energies all the time, try to spend more time with people that pick you up and limit the time around those that can drain your energy.
